Pastor Dean's - A Word From The Word
In the earlier part of January, there appeared in the local “TODAY” newspaper a copy from the “USA/TODAY” entitled, “God, religion, atheism ‘So what?” Subtitled, “That’s what many say.”
Spiritual reproduction is our responsibility.
Pastor Dean's - "Christmas Eve Reading 2011"
On this calm and beautiful Christmas Eve, I wish I could bestow upon you a gift - the gift of an increased capacity to appreciate the infinite value of the quiet and simple.

We have a responsibility to live right before God and man. Scripture puts this right and responsibility this way: “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21).

Is it no wonder that our youth drift away from the church, cynical about Christianity and disillusioned with the enemic adult examples of an irresponsible Christianity? We are reaping what we have sown. Responsible Christian living requires purity of mind, heart, and soul; a courage for living a responsible life; and a concern for others. This is responsible Christian living!

For the imperfect, ourselves included, there is a way back to full fellowship with our Lord and the privilege to be of service to Him. The way back is I John 1:9.

As encouragement for the church in support of our forty-first annual mission conference and our missionaries, consider his article: “Who or What Comes First?” published in THE BAPTIST VOICE.

The “truth” about the Savior is that He is the One and only way to God—the One and only true God. This knowledge of truth and freedom comes from a personal reliance on Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as the only Savior for mankind.

“Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:15–16). Tolerance as defined by culture is a myth, and worse, it is a smokescreen to stop churches from spreading the Gospel.

Continuation of Dr. Paul Chappell’s “The Tolerance Myth”. It is our responsibility as believers to give Christ first place in our lives, in His church, and in all matters of our faith and practice.

This is not a personal word from me but a published article from Dr. Paul Chappell, president of West Coast Baptist College that appeared in the May, 2010, issue of The Baptist Voice. The title of the article, “The Tolerance Myth” needs disseminating. This is part one.
